Create a video

Submit common parameters through the platform fields and pass Kling-specific parameters through metadata.

POST/v1/video/generations

Create Kling videos using the public JSON task format. The platform maps public fields to Kling's native parameters, and vendor extension fields are placed in metadata. Examples of model IDs include kling-v1, kling-v2-master, kling-v2-6, and kling-video-o1. The actual available models are based on the model list returned by the current API Key

prompt*string

Positive prompts, up to 2,500 characters.

Refer to image URLs, map platforms to Kling init_image, and enable image-to-video content.

size?string

Video size, the platform maps to Kling aspect_ratio based on width and height.

duration?number

Video duration, measured in seconds. Platform formats support 5 or 10 and are mapped to duration_string.

Value in

metadata?

Kling vendor extension parameters. Non-public fields should be placed in this object.
